A new episode of the Cartoon Network series Steven Universe premiered in the US today, and it features guest animator Takafumi Hori from Studio Trigger. Hori’s previous works include the anime series Kill la Kill and the original Little Witch Academia shorts, as well as several other animation director positions for an episode of Michiko and Hatchin and the movie Fairy Tail: Priestess of the Phoenix. A quick perusal of Hori’s Tumblr account also shows their love for Steven Universe, through several fan animations and fan arts.
Hori also posted a message to fans along with some artwork for the episode on tumblr:
