Fans waiting for the release of The Last Guardian have endured a long series of delays. Originally in development by Team Ico back in 2007 for the PS3, the game has since had a troubled development history, and has ended up with developers genDESIGN for the PS4. Despite these production troubles, The Last Guardian‘s director Fumito Ueda (director and lead designer of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus) and past Team Ico members have continued to work on the project. Thankfully, it seems the long wait is finally coming to an end this December, when the game is slated to be released for Playstation 4.
For those unfamiliar with The Last Guardian, it’s an action/adventure game with puzzle elements and stars a young boy working together with a giant mammal creature with wings . By interacting with the mammal creature and taking advantage of their natural instincts, players will be able to traverse the world and complete puzzles.
