Director of the live action Ace Attorney film Takashi Miike is trying his hand at adapting another beloved series, the infinitely bizarre JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. The film is called JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Chapter 1, and the role of Josuke Higashikata will be played by Kento Yamazaki.
For those who have never heard of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, the series follows different members of the Joestar family as they fight a variety of supernatural enemies using their own unique powers. The movie JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Chapter 1 is slated for release in Japan on August 4.
The thirty second trailer seems uncharacteristically serious for what I know of the series, but given that this is only the first trailer and the Ace Attorney movie managed to replicate the humour of the games, I won’t cast judgements yet.
